Woodland

It's more expensive to buy small parcels of woodland and often the value of the standing wood is not fully reflected in the price. By choosing the right woodland we could take advantage of this to have a great tax free investment while benefiting the planet.

There is huge scope for good and meaningful things, including; increasing biodiversity, providing sustainable raw materials and products, outdoor exercise and activity and providing community and social events.
This may all be affordable as the financial prospects are fantastic. For what is a relatively low risk investment with its capitol growth, tax free income from timber sales, scope for adding value to timber crop on site, inheritance tax planning and other longer term benefits.

Position is important with opportunities for activities like mountain biking, glamping, and a workspace. Nearby, hill and moorland walking, kayaking, fishing, pubs, shops and community facilities could also be close by.
The TV series showing Rob Penn transform a small Welsh wood gives a glimps of some of the possibilities.

Getting together a group of people who can make this happen would be a great start, not least as generally the larger the wood the cheaper the price. As there are not always suitable properties on the market this group could be ready to move quickly when a suitable wood were identified. Do please get in touch with a brief idea of location and budget that may be suitable and we can start to work out a plan together.

This is a great example.

My other blog has talked about some of these projects but this one is a blatant pitch. I hope to excite you enough to get you involved.
I’m self employed and earn my income when an idea gets bought, or made, in some way or another. I often need input to make projects fly and always like to pay people a proper fee for it. Occasionally I have to ask for favours, but for the sort of things I'm posting here any investment in time or money could also be paid for with a share in a company and it's IP.

My motivation is as ever predominantly environmental.
